@hopeswriting let's talk about something I find a bit disappointing in khr. Now that I've reread it as an adult human✨

Haru's retconned knowledge about Tsuna and the mafia. My personal theory is that she was originally meant to be part of the guardians but something changed Amano's mind—maybe feedback from an editor, fans, or fellow artist. After all, it is a typical cliche to have one™ girl on the team (Chrome in this case). As such, Haru was relegated to the background as Damsel in Distress #2. The thing is, I find her to be so fucking fun and interesting. She's annoying, she's passionate, she has so many convenient interests, she's awkward and she cares she cares she CARES.

It would have been such a poignant moment for her to initially be given the option to reject the Thunder Ring, only to take it up once she realized Lambo was at stake. Everybody else in the narrative could have warned her against taking it up; reminding her of the danger, over and over and over again. Only for her to explode and ask well what about them? The rest of them are putting themselves in danger what makes her so special? Her resolve to protect the innocent, to protect other children, is indestructible.
